Touring relics are ‘unchristian’

Dear Editor, In the last few weeks, relics of St Anthony of Padua have been brought around Ireland on a tour, visiting many parishes. This is unchristian, unbiblical and has no place in a Christian Church. It has nothing to do with the teaching of Jesus Christ and is offensive to God.

Why can’t more of us in the Catholic Church read the word of God and see what God wants from us?

When John the Baptist was beheaded on Herod’s orders, the apostles buried him; they did not keep parts of his body as a trophy.

Yours etc.,

Margaret Ahearne,

Callan,

Co. Kilkenny.
