Dear Editor, Reading the Book Reviews (IC 9/1/14) it was good to see Peter Costello discuss the new book Unheard Story: Dublin Archdiocese and the Murphy Report. It is very important that we all read it carefully to further understand how the Church comes under unjust fire in this Report and by many of the media and their readers and watchers, and priests are made to suffer unduly.
The author prints the “gratuitously offensive conclusion” of the Murphy Report and tells also that he sent copies of a report he had written on the Murphy injustices to journalists and major newspapers yet no reference to this report appeared in the print or electronic media.
It’s not only the Church that needs justice but so does Leinster House and the array of the media and their followers.
Let’s see if they read and discuss this book openly and admit to the Murphy Report’s injustices.
