Indian Christians protest child’s murder

Hindu radicals blamed for torture and death

India – Christians of various denominations have banded together in Rajasthan state to demand justice in the case of a Christian child who was allegedly tortured and murdered.

Despite signs of extreme torture on the face and body of 7-year-old Anugrag Gemethi, which was discovered on November 18, police have declared the case one of drowning and have failed to locate anyone suspected in the child’s death. Hindu fundamenatlists have been blamed for abducting the boy and causing his injuries before murdering him. In response, a ‘Justice for the martyr Anmol’ campaign has been launched to force authorities to both investigate the matter more fully and to deal effectively with anti-Christian violence.
