Fatima (2020) will be released in cinemas across the island of Ireland and on all digital platforms Friday June 25, after a series of delays due to Covid.

The film, about the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in 1917, will be shown in five cinemas in Co. Cork and two in Dublin, as well as in Belfast, Derry and more.

Fatima is directed by internationally renowned Italian director Marco Pontecorvo (Pa-ra-da, Game of Thrones), stars heavyweights such as Goran Višnji, Harvey Keitel and Sônia Braga, and includes a new original song performed by Andrea Bocelli.

Speaking to The Irish Catholic, Mr Pontecorvo said they strove to respect the reality of the story, saying it is one that is “important for everybody”.

The soundtrack for the film is also available to download digitally now and is released by Decca Records.
