Discovery Gospel Choir to mark end of US slavery

Dublin-based Discovery Gospel Choir, in partnership with development charity Christian Aid, is presenting a series of concerts to mark the ending of slavery in the United States. Under the title ‘Juneteenth: 150 Years of Freedom’ the choir will perform in Dublin, Belfast and Downpatrick in consultation with Dr William Mulligan – senior lecturer of History at UCD and co-editor of A Global History of Anti-Slavery Politics in the Nineteenth Century.

The shows will bring a mix of drama, dance, poetry and music. Admission is from €18–€15 (£12) standard and €12 (£10) concession.
