Young fundraisers fast for Cork’s elderly

SHARE’s annual fast and fundraising campaign launched in Cork

This is the 44th year in which 1,800 fourth and fifth-year students from 20 schools will raise funds for SHARE (Students Harness Aid for the Relief of the Elderly), which was founded by a Presentation Brother, Jerome Kelly in 1970. The launch was attended by the Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Catherine Clancy, Bishop John Buckley and Bishop Paul Colton, Church of Ireland, with the Cork City Fire Brigade & Togher Pipe Bandplaying seasonal tunes.
