World Missions Ireland, the official mission outreach of the Catholic Church in Ireland, is asking people to vote for their video entry into the Better Together competition.
A two-minute version of the DVD recorded by broadcaster Charlie Bird for World Missions Ireland in the Philippines and South Korea, which features missionaries and their work, has been entered into the bettertogether.ie video competition for non-profit organisatins with a €2,000 cash prize.
Feedback
Sally McEllistrim of World Missions Ireland said the team are “delighted” to be accepted for the competition and with the response the DVD received in parishes on Mission Sunday.
“We received very positive feedback and people said they were delighted to see missionaries getting the credit they deserve,” she said.
“The DVD, which is available on www.wmi.ie and on YouTube, can still be used in parishes and we have received requests for a copy from post primary schools from across various dioceses.”
