As part of the celebrations marking the 175th anniversary of the opening of St John the Baptist, Whitehall Church, in the parish of Coole, Co. Westmeath in 1838, Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Extraordinary Form (the Tridentine Rite) at 8pm on Friday, November 8.

Fr Oliver Skelly PP said “for 125 of its 175-year history, the people of Coole and Whitehall and all of the Latin Church worshipped God at Mass in the Tridentine Rite”.

“All are welcome to join with us as we praise God for his goodness to us and for the greatest treasure we have – Holy Mass,” he said.
