‘Week of Hope’ gathers faithful in Armagh Parish Armagh Cathedral

Many young people joined Armagh Parish’s ‘Week of Hope’, said Admin. Fr Barry Matthews. The event took place from September 28 to October 5 and was “an opportunity” for the local community to come together in faith and share stories and experiences.

He said the young attendees were inspired by the “speaker’s courage as they shared their faith journey publicly and bravely.”

The week started with Bishop Michael Router speaking about the importance of Sunday Mass, a theme that repeated throughout the week.

Concluding the event, “St Patrick’s medals for long and generous contributions to the faith community” were presented to four people, “who represented the many volunteers who make up our parish,” said Fr Matthews.

“We hope that our faith community will continue to grow in grace” as the Jubilee Year continues, the priest concluded.
