Online initiative reaches out to prevent abortion

Online for Life is a compassionate, technology-driven non-profit organisation committed to rescuing children and families from abortion.

The initiative implements cutting-edge internet and traditional marketing outreaches to connect with abortion-determined women and men.

Through the Online for Life Call Center, they provide the option to make an appointment at one of their approximately 50 participating life-affirming pregnancy resource centres (PRCs) in 23 US states.

The pregnancy centres provide life-affirming compassion, care, sonograms and tangible help. Every effort is made to protect the unborn child and family from abortion.

Prayer requests, Online for Life updates and compelling stories are also shared through the Prayer App and a large social network community.

US bishops launch online Catechism

The Catechism of the Catholic Church is a reference book with over 700 pages. Now, thanks to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, it is even more accessible.

With this new online version, beyond reading, users will be able to navigate its pages.

It has a very clear index and a search engine that can find everything related to a specific topic in a few seconds.

It also permits bookmarking of pages and even making brief notes. Another novelty is that users can share any page on Facebook, Twitter or other social media sites.

Users can find it in English, as well as Spanish. This online version is the American edition of the Catechism, adapted for Catholics in the United States and approved by the Holy See.

Sharing your faith online

An online platform is offering users a chance to share their stories of faith and how it has affected their lives.

FaithCounts.net users can submit their own entries in a number of formats, including videos and inspirational quotes.

The social media campaign shares powerful and inspiring messages, meant to highlight the involvement of faith in everyday life.

FaithCounts.net comprises faith communities representing over 100 million Americans, including Catholics and other Christian denominations.
