Mags GarganMonsignor Nicholas O’Mahony elected as Diocesan Administrator
Following the resignation on health grounds of Bishop William Lee, the College of Consultors of Waterford and Lismore have elected Monsignor Nicholas O’Mahony as Diocesan Administrator.
Msgr O’Mahony thanked Bishop Lee for his 20 years of ministry as Bishop of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore, and said “My duty is to lead the diocese from now until a new bishop is appointed. During this time, I ask for your prayers that, guided by the Holy Spirit, a suitable bishop will be appointed.”
