Dear Editor, In the short time left to polling day, I would like to urge as many of your concerned readers as possible to courteously engage with candidates or their canvassers on their attitude to the abortion legislation of last year as well as the Governments proposals on the matter of gay ‘marriage’.
In regard to the latter we have seen many county and city councils in recent times passing resolutions in favour of same, rather than concentrating on the various grave problems they were elected to deal with. We need to look no further than the long term scandal of leaking pipes, and in some areas undrinkable water.
It would be hilarious if it were not so serious.
Yours etc.,
Seosamh O'Broin,
Dublin 8.
