Tuam parishes hold 33 hours Adoration

7th annual celebration

On the weekend of June 21-22 parishioners from across the Archdiocese of Tuam gathered for the seventh annual 33 hours of Eucharistic Adoration in St Jarlath’s College Chapel in Tuam.

The 33 hours began at 10am with concelebrated Mass in the cathedral by Canon James Kelly and Fr Mairtin O Conaire ODC followed by a Solemn Procession of the Blessed Sacrament to St Jarlath’s College Chapel led by Fr Shane Sullivan.

For the remainder of the 33 hours each parish or group of parishes had been assigned a specific hour and there was a large attendance through the night vigil.

On Sunday evening the adoration concluded with benediction and procession back to the cathedral. Canon James Kelly, Spiritual Director of the Apostolate was the chief celebrant and homilist at the Mass, assisted by Fr Francis Mitchell Adm. Tuam.
