Knock

On Saturday, September 20, on the eve of World Peace Day, Mass will be offered at Knock Shrine in solidarity with Christians who are being persecuted for their faith.

A UN flag will be flown outside the basilica and a peace candle will remain alight for the duration. A number of local groups are planning to walk to Mass as a symbolic gesture of support for those who have been displaced in Iraq.

The Mass will be broadcast live at 3pm via the shrine website, www.knock-shrine.ie
