St Oliver Plunkett relic in Kilmore

Arrival and Visitation

A relic of St Oliver Plunkett will visit the Chapel of the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Cavan on Tuesday, June 10 through the kind auspices of the Knights of St Columbanus. 

The relic will arrive at the centre at 10am and will be available for veneration until 9pm that evening.

There will be a lunch time Mass in the chapel at 1pm and another Mass at 7pm when the homily will be given by Msgr John Hanly, PP Carnaross, who was the vice-postulator of the saint’s case for canonisation in 1975.

A Novena of Masses is being offered over the nine days in advance of the visit. Petitions may be sent to the St Oliver Plunkett Novena, Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cullies, Cavan. 

All petitions received will be placed beside the relic during its visit.
