St Joseph has really been neglected

Dear Editor, What an inspiring letter on devotion to St Joseph from John Cleary (IC 15/01/2015). I’m afraid St Joseph has been somewhat neglected in our devotions. I actually took his name, Josephine, at Confirmation but have to admit that it is only in recent years that I have come to acknowledge him and to seek his help and protection.

As Guardian of the Holy Family, it is only right and proper that we invoke his help in protecting families and all life from conception till natural death. So many of the saints had great devotion to this saint and have provided ample proof of answers to their prayers through his intercession. Let us all seek his help for our country under continual attack for seeking to adhere to Christian values.
