Religious educators gather for Veritas Conference

The annual Veritas conference for religious educators took place in St Patrick’s College Maynooth on October 1. Gathering educators and other stakeholders in religious teaching from across Ireland, the conference offered talks, exhibitors and workshops for attendees, all under the theme ‘Connect, Communicate, Celebrate’.

According to Pamela Mcloughlin of Veritas, as in previous years, the conference was again “a great success”, and served as an opportunity for religious educators to meet towards sharing ideas and concerns in the relaxed atmosphere of St Patrick’s, which offered guided tours of its cloisters and grounds for delegates on the day.

The October 1 conference was also marked with a special presentation to Maura Hyland, who, in retiring from Veritas this year, also steps aside from her role with the Maynooth Conference after 10 years as “the driving force” behind the event.
