A highly-acclaimed expert on Pope Francis and his reform agenda for the Church will address two gatherings in Dublin and Limerick early next month.
Dr Austen Ivereigh, who has recently completed The Great Reformer: Francis and the Making of a Radical Pope, will explore what the Pope’s teaching and ministry might mean in particular for Irish Catholics.
Sponsored by The Irish Catholic, he will also preview this year’s synod on the family when controversial issues around marriage and sexuality are set to be on the agenda.
Fresh from the Pope’s presentation of Vatican reform this weekend, Dr Ivereigh will also explore how reform of the Vatican will have an impact on the entire Church.
Dr Ivereigh will speak at Avila Retreat Centre, Donnybrook, Dublin 4 on Tuesday March 3 at 7.30pm and the following night, Wednesday March 4, at 7.30pm in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Admission is €5 and pre-booking is essential since spaces are limited. To attend, please contact Geraldine on 01-687 4095 or email events@irishcatholic.ie
