pilgrimage Archbishop Eamon Martin with Archbishop Richard Clarke

Archbishop Eamon Martin and the Church of Ireland Archbishop Richard Clarke will lead people of varying ages and backgrounds on pilgrimage next week. To mark the centenary of World War I Protestants and Catholics will visit historic and poignant sites relating to the war. It will culminate in a reflective visit to the Island of Ireland Peace Park at Messines in Belgium.

The delegation of 36 people and 16 young adults will leave on pilgrimage on May 30 to June 1. The archbishops said they hope the visit will “enable us to forge even greater friendships and work yet harder for peace together in the future”.
