On Saturday July 26, hundreds of people from around the country visited the Shrine of St Anne, which is situated in the Poor Clare Convent grounds in Mayobridge, Co. Down.
The Poor Clare Sisters, assisted by many parishioners, were present to welcome pilgrims to the shrine from far and near. This annual event in the calendar of the parish is renowned countrywide, and many people came for the open air Mass which was celebrated at 3pm by Parish Priest, Fr Charles Byrne, assisted by Fr Tom McAteer and five visiting priests.
You can visit the shrine daily from 7.30am-10.30pm.
