The Knights of St Columbanus in Downpatrick, Co. Down held a ‘Look at Life’ morning seminar for a group of students in St Marys High School, Downpatrick.
Fr Martin Graham, a native of Downpatrick, opened the first session speaking on the ‘Roll of the youth in the Church today’.
He talked about the importance of youth involvement in activities within the Catholic Church and while the path of life can present many difficulties, there is always help out there for our youth.
The second presentation was given by Friends of Cuan Mhuire, Genna and Pat, who both spoke on the addiction of drugs, alcohol and gambling and the effects these abuses have on the individual and their extended families and friends.
Look at Life is a youth project organised by the Knights Downpatrick branch and has been running now for a number of years in secondary schools in Co. Down.
