Jesuits host youth from around the world

Last week the Jesuits in Ireland brought 65 young people from around the world to Ireland to enrich their faith and work in justice and ecology projects.

Divided into four groups, the young people painted a homeless shelter in Dublin, worked on an ecology project in Wicklow and went on pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick and Glendalough.

A number of the group volunteered for training as journalists and film makers, and were blogging, tweeting, photographing and filming their ventures during the week.

The project is part of a unique experiment under the guidance of Professor Graham Roberts, of the media department in Leeds Trinity University. He’s on the Magis 2014 team and has developed special software to allow the filmed material be edited and tagged by the participants. Collectively, they will produce an interactive film of the whole Magis 2014 experience.
