Spirituality conference planned in Galway
The Jesuit Centre of Spirituality & Culture is to host an international spirituality conference celebrating 150 years of Jesuits in Galway.
The conference titled ‘Voices of Hope: Echoes of the Divine’ will feature speakers including Dead Man Walking author, Sr Helen Prejean CSJ.; former governor of Mountjoy prison, John Lonergan; and Irish Episcopal Council for Justice and Peace representative, Fr Gerry O’Hanlon SJ.
Speaking ahead of the conference, organiser Mary McKeown told The Irish Catholic the seminar “will bring a new dimension to discussions of hope in our world, endeavouring to find God in all things”. The conference takes place at the Galway Bay Hotel on Friday evening October 25 and Saturday October 26, 2013.
