Renowned Catholic thinker Jean Vanier will be the theme of an event in Dublin next week to mark the ‘Year of Mercy’.

Mr Vanier is renowned for his founding of the L’Arche movement and his work with people living with developmental disabilities.

US-based Prof. Michael W. Higgins, an expert on Vanier’s spirituality and author of a forthcoming book on Vanier entitled Logician of the Heart will speak at The Irish Catholic offices in Dublin on Thursday, January 14.

Jean Vanier, acknowledged as one of the great Catholics of our time, has been described as a ‘Man of Mercy’. Prof. Higgins will look at Vanier’s spirituality and thought in the context of the ‘Year of Mercy’ proposed by Pope Francis for the Church.
