This book continues the familiar themes, and will be welcomed by all those for whom the reports have already carried conviction. But their convictions need to be tempered with the fact that doubt and controversy rages over these messages and the apparitions from which they arise.
The Church commission appointed to inquire into the whole history of the case is due to report soon, but as of now the events have not be formally judged to be of supernatural origin. The train of ‘secret messages’ which have been emerging over the years, but remain undisclosed, with hints at dreadful events to come, leave many critics with grave doubts.
However, the piety and the prayerful attention which they have in part promoted is not to be rejected either. The outcome may not be quite what many expect.
