Archbishop Diarmuid Martin pictured with students of the Holy Family School for the Deaf in Cabra, Dublin, where the archbishop led the school’s inaugural Mass on October 26.
The Mass marked the opening of the school year at the amalgamated St Joseph’s School for Deaf Boys and St Mary’s School for Deaf Girls, located on the Deaf Village Ireland campus. Archbishop
Diarmuid Martin said during the event: “My prayer is that this Holy Family School will be a place where deaf boys and girls will be supported so that they can bring the best out of the talents that God has given each one of them and that they become men and women who can take their place fully within society.”
