Garden of remembrance at Knock Shrine

Garden of remembrance at Knock Shrine Knock Shrine, Knock, Co. Mayo.

The Family Centre at Knock Shrine, along with the gardening team, will plant a snowdrop this spring on the grounds of the shrine in memory of all deceased children enrolled in the Knock Book of Remembrance.

On Sunday, February 7 at 3pm the bulbs will be blessed and all the deceased children and their parents will be remembered in a short prayer service. The snowdrops will then be planted in mid to late February in a designated area which will be a place of prayer for all pilgrims who visit Knock Shrine during 2016.

All bereaved parents are welcome to be part of this initiative, by dropping a planted snowdrop into the family centre up until 3pm on February 7, including the name of their child on the container and the date they died.

Further information is available from Monica Morley at the Family Centre on 094-9375320.
