Courtney McGrailSt Colman’s Society for Catholic Liturgy is hosting the Fota VIII International Liturgy Conference in Cork from July 4-6 on the subject of the priesthood of the baptised, entitled ‘A chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation: Aspects of the Priesthood of Baptism’.
The conference speakers over the weekend include Prof. Dieter Böhler, from Germany speaking on ‘A Kingdom of Priests” (Ex 19,6) Priesthood and Royalty of God’s People in the Old and New Testament’, Fr Joseph Briody from the US speaking on ‘The Priesthood of the Faithful in Sacred Scripture’, Fr Jao-Paolo Mendanca Dantas from Brazil speaking on ‘The new movements in the service of the unity of the Church’ and Fr Thomas McGovern from Dublin speaking on ‘The Priesthood of the Laity and the Challenge of the Secular’.
