Former Derry administrator appointed parish priest

The former Administrator of Derry diocese has been appointed a Parish Priest in the clerical changes which take effect this week.

Fr Francis Bradley took over as administrator last year when the previous administrator, Eamon Martin, was appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of Armagh. He became the Priest-in-Residence in Buncrana after the appointment of Bishop Donal McKeown as Bishop of Derry, and has now been appointed PP in Buncrana and Chancellor of the diocese.

Changes

In other changes, Fr Joseph Gormley, Administrator Holy Family, has been appointed PP Creggan; Fr John R. Walsh, PP Buncrana, is retiring as Parish Priest and will be the curate; Fr Liam Donnelly, CC Limavady, is also retiring; Fr Peter O’Kane, CC Steelstown, will be Judicial Vicar for the Diocese of Derry while remaining Director of the Diocesan Pastoral Centre; Fr Daniel McFaul, CC Creggan, is to be CC Cappagh; Fr Brendan Collins is nominated as chaplain of the University of Ulster (Magee), in addition to existing duties; Fr Francis Lynch OP is to be CC Urney and Castlefin; Fr Dermott Harkin, on loan from the Diocese of Clogher, is to be CC Ardstraw West and Castlederg; Fr Łukasz Nizio, on loan from the Diocese of Lublin (Poland), is to be CC Steelstown and chaplain to the Polish community.
