De La Salle schools’ presentations

The De La Salle Mission Council in Ireland organised a schools’ presentation for eight primary and secondary schools recently. Schools from Macroom, Castlebar, Dundalk, Waterford and Dublin submitted a variety of projects on the theme: Who is St John Baptist de la Salle? Over a hundred students and teachers displayed and edited their projects in a creative and colourful way in Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

They used digital, ceramic, wood, photos, maps, carvings, portraits, essays, posters, quotes, clay, and music, as well as oral. Some of the projects were personal, others in a group.

Overall winners were Castlebar, who received the De La Salle Trophy. The other schools received specially designed medals. The presentations were made by Bro. Damien Kellegher, Assistant Provincial.
