Cork to celebrate 91st Eucharistic Procession

Archbishop Michael Neary will preach at the 91st annual Eucharistic Procession in Cork to mark the Feast of Corpus Christi.

Cork’s Eucharistic Procession began in 1926 and has become a major part of the Church calendar in the city. It will be led by Bishop John Buckley and an invitation has been offered to the various Catholic groups to walk in the procession including the St Vincent de Paul, the Sick Poor Societies, SHARE, The Legion of Mary and the Pioneers.

The procession begins on Sunday, May 29 at 3pm in the North Cathedral and proceeds down Roman Street, Upper John Street, along Camden Quay, St. Patrick’s Bridge and St Patrick’s Street en-route to Daunt’s Square where Bishop Buckley will bless the disabled and sick and infirm, and Archbishop Neary will speak.
