A commemorative concert was held in the RDS Concert Hall on Friday to celebrate 200 years since Venerable Mary Aikenhead founded the Religious Sisters of Charity.
Among those who attended the concert were President Higgins’ wife, Sabina, former Lord Mayor, Councillor Vincent Jackson and a wide circle of families, friends and benefactors including a large number of members of the Religious Sisters of Charity.
The concert was a gift to all present from the Religious Sisters of Charity to acknowledge those who walked the journey with them over the years.
The concert featured Liz Nolan, as presenter, the Palestrina Choir and the Pro-Cathedral Girls’ Choir, the Cora Cadwell School of Irish Dancing, Simon Morgan & Friends, The Ebony Wind Quintet, High Hopes Choir, St Agnes’ Crumlin Community Inter-Generational Orchestra and The Priests.
