Cloyne launches diocesan Lenten reflections

Bishop William Crean has announced the Diocese of Cloyne is holding a Lenten series of prayer in central locations across the diocese. Each evening will last for one hour with time afterwards for refreshments and chat. Talks start at 8pm in Holy Family Hall, Youghal on Mondays, February 23, March 2 and March 9; in Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal, Blarney on Wednesdays, February 25, March 4 and March 11; and in the Charleville Park Hotel on Thursdays on February 26, March 5 and March 12.

Over the course of the three evenings each venue will reflect on the introduction to Christian prayer, praying through storms and calm and the greatest prayer.

On Wednesday, March 25 in the Church of the Resurrection in Mallow there will be an evening prayer for the Solemnity of the Annunciation from 8-9.30pm with papal nuncio, Archbishop Charles Brown giving a talk on the theme of ‘Prayer in Christian Life – Bringing the Catechism of the Catholic Church in Focus’.
