Celebrating youth in Cork and Ross FREE PIC - NO REPRO FEE - March 21, 2022 The iconic and much-loved Collegiate Chapel of Saint Finbarr - better known as the Honan Chapel at University College Cork was reopened after €1.2m refurbishment works. The occasion was marked by a special mass celebrated by Bishop Fintan Gavin, Bishop of Cork and Ross to mark a new chapter in its 106-year-old story. In attendance were Fr. Christy O'Dwyer; Bishop Tom Deenihan, Bishop of Meath; Bishop John Buckley, Bishop emeritus of Cork and Ross; Bishop Fintan Gavin; Archbishop Kieran O'Reilly, Archbishop of Cashel and Emly; Bishop Ray Browne, Bishop of Kerry; Fr. Coinciding with the diocese’s Youth Ministry Special Collection, Cork and Ross celebrated their first Young Adult Mass on November 9, an event which will now take place on the second Sunday of each month.
