Four new classrooms for Sligo School
Almost 29 years since Scoil Naomh Molaise, Grange, Co. Sligo first opened its new doors, the ribbon was cut on a new four-classroom extension at the school.
As well as the classrooms, the extension saw the construction of four resource rooms, a staff room and three new sports facilities, namely a 40m x 30m Astro pitch, a Gaelic football pitch and a tarmacadam play area at the front of the school.
Bishop of Elphin, Dr Christopher Jones performed the official blessing and unveiled a plaque on the front of the school.
“It is our hope that the entire project will help us to provide valuable indoor and outdoor learning experiences for all our children to help them achieve their potential as valued members of our community,” said Principal Brian McGowan.
