Digital technology has caught up with a decades-long Bible project to make a hardcopy version of the work downloadable to mobile phones.
According to researchers at the University of Navarra in Spain, a version of the Bible in Spanish, complete with commentary and explanations has taken 30 years to complete in the traditional bound volume format. Along the timeline towards the Bible’s completion, digital experts joined with the project to render a version readable on modern hand-held devices, meaning that the work can now be accessed in full anywhere and anytime.
The Navarra Bible has already been picked up by online retailers such as Google Play Books, Amazon for Kindle, and while the hardcopy edition will set the eager student back €238, an electronic version costs approximately €2.75.
