Ballymena roundtable to discuss ‘forgiveness’

Christian forgiveness will be the subject of a roundtable gathering in Ballymena, Co. Antrim next week.

Taking place at All Saints Parish, Cushendall Road, Ballymena on May 24 from 1.30pm to 5.30pm, the event is themed ‘In Faith through Forgiveness to the Future’ and will explore the true meaning of forgiveness for Christians and its importance for the way we live our lives and build our future.

According to the event organisers: “The Troubles have left their scars and their divisions in Northern Ireland. As a community we face many challenges, and so we will talk about how our faith can be the catalyst for that healing and reconciliation which can be the result of forgiveness.”

All are invited to hear guest speaker, theologian and writer Dr Geraldine Smyth OP of Trinity college Dublin and the Irish School of Ecumenics.

She will be accompanied by Fr Paddy Delargy, Mrs Janice McKeith and Baroness Nuala
O’Loan.

Donation suggested. Refreshments will be served. For further information contact Nuala at 0044 776 997 4970 or Janice at 00447927089125.
