Hundreds of secondary school students expected at third annual Spiritan Youth Day
Hundreds of secondary school students are expected to attend the third annual Spiritan Youth Day (SYD), which this year has the theme ‘One Heart, One Spirit’.
Taking place on October 17 at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin 4 the day is about mission and being a community of people who share a common vision inspired by Gospel values.
Speakers include Fr Peter McVerry, Rory Halpin and Miriam Omoro from Spirasi and Dr Tony Bates from Headstrong. The panel of speakers will later answer with questions tweeted from the students.
During the event there will be songs that relate to the theme performed by a group from each college facilitated by their music teachers. Art classes have worked on the SYD logo competition and the winner will have the pleasure of seeing his/her logo on a t-shirt worn by every student on the day.
