Ancient Biblical manuscripts on display in Dublin Bifolio (sheet) from the Gospels and Acts, third century AD, Egypt. Bifolio from the Gospel of Luke from a codex containing the Four Gospels and Acts, written in Greek with ink on papyrus. This manuscript is the earliest undeniable example of a four-gospel codex and 30 of the original 112 leaves survive. The Gospels here were probably ordered according to the ‘Western’ sequence: Matthew, John, Luke, Mark.
