Sr Stan Kennedy We remember with deep gratitude Sister Stanislaus (Stan) Kennedy, a woman whose faith and compassion transformed countless lives in Ireland.
A Sister of Charity, Sr Stan dedicated her life to serving those on the margins. Through her founding of Focus Ireland and the Immigrant Council of Ireland, she gave voice and dignity to people too often unheard.
As an author with Columba Books and a close friend of The Irish Catholic, her writings invited readers to stillness, reflection, and compassionate action. Works like Awakening Inner Peace and Finding Peace revealed her gentle wisdom and belief that holiness is found in everyday kindness.
Sr Stan’s legacy is one of presence, with the poor, the lonely, and the searching, and a call to each of us to live with empathy and courage.
May her life continue to inspire us to see Christ in every person we meet.
