Mags GarganDe La Salle brothers from different parts of Ireland assembled recently in Castletown, Portlaoise to take stock and plan for the future. The day began with morning prayer, followed by the ‘Report of the Year’ by Bro. Francis Manning, Irish Sector Coordinator. Bro. Laurence Hughes, Oxford, newly appointed provincial, was the chief speaker. He presented each brother with a copy of the new Rule, 2015.
There was a Diamond Jubilee celebration, with jubilee cake, for Bro. Ciaran Creedon, Dublin, and Bro. Harry Kiely, South Africa, and a renewal of vows by all the brothers present.
