Irish MEPs Vote For Abortion to Be ‘Human Right’

Irish MEPs Vote For Abortion to Be ‘Human Right’ Patrick Murphy

Irish MEPS’ who this week voted to enshrine Abortion as a ‘right’ in the European Union Charter of Fundamental Rights have been slammed and described as ‘going down a path of relentless disregard for preborn human life’.

Patrick Murphy, who is Aontu’s candidate for Ireland South said, “The spectre of 12 out of 13 Irish MEP’s voting en masse for this Bill is chilling. The determined, relentless effort towards unlimited abortion, for any reason, up to any gestation, continues. This regressive bill seeks to hand Europe the absolute right to legislate for Abortion, which not only would spell the erosion of human life but also our rights as a nation to make our own laws”.

“It is truly a dark time for the most vulnerable and defenceless”.

“It is heartbreaking to think that a European Parliament that herald’s ‘diversity’ at every opportunity it can, is doggedly trying to silence people who seek to protect and save the lives of unborn babies at every opportunity”.

“Freedom of Conscience is a basic tenet of any democratic society and on one hand we have heavily funded NGO’s whose very task it is to protect and fight for this right, yet these very same NGO’s have no issue whatsoever with Doctors and Medical staff who want no hand , act or part to do with Abortion being forced to go against their conscience. This is a blatant hypocrisy”.

“The European Parliament is doggedly trying to choke groups who fight for human life and cut off funding to organisations who work for the preservation of the lives of the unborn”.

“It has asked the Commission to ensure they don’t receive funding. This is totalitarianism”.

“Abortion is not a human right. It is the antithesis of a human right. No other rights exist if one doesn’t have the right to life”.

“In more enlightened times, people will look back and say how on earth was this violation of human rights allowed”.

“The Irish MEP’s, including Fine Gael’s Sean Kelly, should hang their heads in shame”.

“The People of Ireland South, which he represents, deserve better than this. They deserve a person who will stand up for all life, a person who will be their voice and a fearless advocate”.
