iCatholic streams first live discussion on Pope

In what was billed as the first of its kind, iCatholic hosted a live discussion programme this week on the social teaching of Pope Francis.

The unique 30-minute programme, which focussed on the social teaching of the Pope in his first Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, was streamed live from Renehan Hall in St Patrickís College, Maynooth on Tuesday. However, it is now also available to watch on demand via the iCatholic website.

The panel for programme included Director of TrÛcaire, Eamonn Meehan, Theologian Suzanne Mulligan, Social Justice Ireland Research and Policy Analyst, Michelle Murphy and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paulís Head of Social Justice, John-Mark McCafferty. The show was presented by The Irish Catholicís Cathal Barry.
