Crosscare opens outreach centre in Arklow

Crosscare holding a food appeal over the four weeks of Advent

Last Wednesday Archbishop Diarmuid Martin opened a new outreach centre in Arklow, Co. Wicklow for Crosscare, the social care agency of the Dublin archdiocese.

Crosscare has been delivering services to those most in need within the greater Dublin area and is now expanding its services throughout the archdiocese. The new centre in Arklow was donated to Crosscare by the Sisters of Mercy and will work to combine the strengths of locally established community groups and counselling services to help those most in need within the local community.

Last week Archbishop Martin also launched a food appeal for Dublin families who are struggling to cope this winter. The Crosscare food appeal will take place over the four weeks of Advent, beginning on December 1.
