Description

As a Capuchin priest working in Dublin Fr Bryan Shortall has seen both the magnificent and the difficult sides of life. Always one to remain hopeful and spread the good news, in this collection of homilies, blogs, talks and reflections he draws on his own experience in parish ministry to bring a positive message to his readers.

Fr Bryan shares insight into the lessons he has learned from his parishioners as he chronicles the highlights of parish life, and reflects on some more personal stories. He discusses his childhood in Dublin through a lens that shows a simpler time before mobile phones and social media. This reflection leads to a discussion of  the pressures of modern life, the need to unplug and difficulties with mental health.

In this book, you will find hope, inspiration, humour and an insight into the simple Capuchin Franciscan way of life.
